F Bush and the Back-Door Draft
Sup people, I'm back from Florida--much much love to my U of F peops and to Carlos and Theresa--but I won't be blogging that regularly.
Here's the reason why. (More here.)
I've got fam directly being touched by Bush's back-door draft. Sorry yall, but I just don't have time to mourn or chill or f around, really. You'll be hearing more about Iraq, the military, and David's case from me in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you've got fam or friends who are also being called up, please feel free to email me and we can build.
It's about to be on.

to quote Florida Evans, "damm, damm, DAMM!"...i'm already planning escape routes for my 17 year old son. Hold ya head, brother.

hope things work out jeff.

Thanks yall, it's greatly appreciated. Good news for now is that the story has made CNN and national news, and there are a growing number of folks that are coming out to file similar suits. More news soon...
Real quick comments--Florida, all of us were commiserating together; it's great not to be alone in times like this. Lots of bad news coming out of Ohio--there may be some hip-hop activists out there filing lawsuits. The best thing is that all of the networks that have been created this year are still buzzing.
I think '05 and '06 are going to be real interesting. There'll be a fight for the soul of the Dems, and a re-resurgence of independent anti-war and anti-corporate globalization organizing. Most energy for the last two got sucked right up into the elections. Biggest question--can we put anti-racism back at the forefront of the agenda?
Thanks again, yall...
Keep fighting man, wish you luck.
put racism back at the forefront of the agenda?!!!!...don't let the smooth taste fool ya..."multiculturalism" is the colonial servant of white supremacy.
