As a forlorn Phillies fan, I've been following the AL races just because they're so much better [even if the NL Wild Card race was more wide open] and I feel like this is the year the A's do it.
thanks man. yeah, it's a's pride day. everyone i see in the town is sporting green today. folks forgot the silver and black...i'm pulling for the phillies for the wild card. ryan howard is def the man.
If the Twins have to lose to someone in the first round, I'd like it to be the A's -- mostly because I want to see what Frank Thomas can do in the World Series. And as a Twins fan, watching their scrappy hustle/defense/pitching play is a lot like that moment that always shows up in one of those cop-chasing-a-serial-killer movies ("you and I are a lot alike, Hannigan...")

Jeff--I'm thinking that a repaet of the '73 Series matchup would be nice.
